Tanner Companies, LLC

My background is in retail, mainly women’s fashions. I have worked in small boutiques and major retailers. After retiring from Nordstrom where I had worked 18 years, I started working for Tanner Companies, LLC. Their line of women’s clothing is called Doncaster. The show room and design center is located in New York City.

This direct sales company started 79 years ago with a shirtwaist dress being modeled at a Jr. League fashion show in Charlotte, North Carolina. The dress was a tremendous success. This was the beginning of a company dedicated to its employees and the women who purchase the clothing and accessories. Doncaster is the oldest and most successful direct sales company in the United States.

When you purchase a Doncaster product you help support charities that make life better for women and families in communities worldwide. This year we are promoting handcrafted necklaces and earrings made from recycled materials by the women in Rwanda. This enables the women of Aspire to buy food, clothes, and health insurance for their families.

Doncaster can be purchased at www.doncaster.com or with a wardrobe consultant. Four times a year I have Trunk Shows in my home studio located in Carmichael. My Fall/Winter Show is October 17 – October 23. I work by appointments as this allows me to spend an hour with the client. During this hour she can try on the clothes and I can show her how to make several outfits from just a few pieces. What I provide is really a service. This is for the woman who has little time to shop or doesn’t like to shop. Where else can you try on over 300 items and feel like Cinderella?
