Kimanh Davis is President and CEO of Sunrise Technologies, a leading Project Management and Information Technology Consulting firm, headquartered in Folsom, CA. 2010 marks her twentieth year of delivering quality project management and exceptional technical support backed by a long history of customer satisfaction and dedicated service. Ms. Davis co-founded Sunrise Technologies, Inc. in 1990, with her late husband, Mr. Glenn Davis. She is an experienced information technology professional having worked in the industry for nearly 30 years. She is a certified Oracle Masters, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and has a B.S. (Magna Cum Laude) in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona.
In 2008, Kimanh co-founded The 12:34 Inc, with her current partner, Mr. Mychael Cardenas. The startup company hosts syndicated online shopping, advertising, and entertainment links to distribute commercial and social media content to a network of subscribers. The company is currently in pre-launch infrastructure engineering where Kimanh holds the position of Vice President and interim Chief Financial Officer responsible for the logistics and finances during the framework development and content implementation phases.
Sunrise Technologies’ clients include federal, state and local government agencies. Sunrise currently provides project management and IT professional services to such State agencies as the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Since 1996, Sunrise has been providing project control and systems engineering support to Northrop Grumman Corporation/Aerospace Systems (NGAS), a large federal contractor. We are known as a “No Problem” Vendor. NGAS awarded Sunrise the Gold Supplier of the Year Award in 2006, 2007, and 2008.
Kimanh is a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), the Project Management Institute (PMI), the Sacramento Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce (SACC), the Folsom Chamber of Commerce, and the California Chamber of Commerce. In 2008, NAWBO, Sacramento Valley Chapter awarded Kimanh the Outstanding Women Leaders Award for Achievement against All Odds.
For many years, Kimanh volunteered for the PMI Sacramento Valley Chapter as Education Director of Finance and Administration, and Education Director of Faculty. She also briefly served under the Chapter’s former President Vickie Cleary in the Strategy and Policy functional area. She currently represents NAWBO, on the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) Community Advisory Panel (CAP).
Kimanh has worked and traveled extensively abroad and throughout the US. She was born and raised in Saigon, Vietnam. In addition to her Vietnamese native language, she is fluent in English and French. She is an avid reader and enjoys international spy/thriller and mystery/suspense fiction, and biographies of historic figures. She is a history buff and studies Egyptian/Roman/Greek history and archeological finds. She is active in a few of her local parish ministries.
