On October 20, 2011 the Sacramento Valley Chapter of NAWBO will celebrate its 14th annual Outstanding Women Leaders (OWL) Awards Banquet at 6p.m. This is our signature event of the year and we would like you to join us in support of this event which recognizes women in all sectors and stages in the Sacramento region. Know an outstanding woman? WHO? Take a few minutes to tell us about her. Your nomination tells a woman that you believe in what she’s doing. June Program & Panel Guests
Tuesday, May 24th, 2011Our monthly mixer & educational program is always the 3rd Thursday of each month. Meeting starts with appetizers & wine as you mix and mingle with other women business owners. Joining us this month will be several of our favorite Outstanding Women Leaders past award recipients who will be on hand to give us insight into their business challenges and share their secrets to success.
This program also marks the kick-off for nominations for the 2011 OWL Awards.

PRICE: $15\member and $20\non-member by day before. $5 more day of/at the door.
Scholarship for NAWBO Sacramento Member
Sunday, May 8th, 2011NAWBO’s Womens Business Conference is coming up on August 31-September 1 in San Diego, CA and we are offering a scholarship to one NAWBO-Sacramento Valley member, in good standing, that has never had the opportunity to attend the National Convention. This opportunity is due to a generous donations from Wells Fargo Bank and our NAWBO Foundation.

NAWBO – Request for Speaker Proposals
Tuesday, May 3rd, 2011Our Request for Proposals from Speakers is now complete. The committee will be meeting in July and will be selecting the majority of speakers for our 2011-2012 Calendar by mid-July. Selection for our 2012 Entrepreneurs Edge symposium may take until September. Speakers selected for the program year will be notified no later than September 2011.
Members of the National Association of Women Business Owners – Sacramento enjoy instant access to incredible resources and communities. These resources help answer key questions of business ownership: how to grow, market, finance, manage and staff a successful business.
We are looking for experts to educate us on specific business issues and topics. If you are able to share your expertise with us, please complete the RFP at http://nawbo-sac.com/speakers. Your application is subject to approval by the Board of Directors and we will try to accommodate as many applications as possible, as quickly as possible.
