Join us on April 6th at 6:30 pm at the Wells Fargo Bank in Sacramento for a Financial Workshop given by Mary Norris, WF, VP, Business Development Officer and Jilian Takeuchi, WF, Commercial Loan Officer, on the topic of Accomplishing the Impossible: Learning more about why and how a business owner should think of borrowing and how to get this accomplished.

Accomplishing the Impossible:

* How can a business owner get a bank loan in today’s economy?
* If I have a mature business, why should I consider credit?
* How does borrowing help my business?
* What do I need to know and do to qualify for a loan?
* What type of borrowings are available?

About our Speakers:
Mary Morris has a long history with Wells Fargo Bank. She is very involved with helping many business owners to consider the appropriate loan to help grow their businesses. Mary also works closely with the Small Business Administration (SBA) to assist new business owners in their endeavors to own a business.

Jillian Takeuchi has been with Wells Fargo for over a decade. Having excelled in various position within that time, Jillian joined Wells Fargo’s Business Banking Group in 2008. Her primary goals have been to understand the issues facing a business owner in order to be able to acts as their financial business consultant, whether it be growing their business or downsizing their business.

Our monthly mixer and educational program are themed “Going Green” in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. Meeting starts with appetizers and wine as you mix and mingle with other women business owners.  Followed by two subject matter experts with presentations and resources that you can use in your own business.  Shobha Mallarapu, our Public Policy VP and current liaison to SMUD, along with guest expert Marie L. Brown, LEED AP, and owner of Eco-Chic Design will share their knowledge to help your business be more eco-friendly and “Go Green”.

Learn WHY you need a Green Policy for your business and how to take your business. Learn how to conduct a green business self assessment, how to develop and track your green plan and how to communicate your green plan.  Receive resources for becoming certified as a green business and gets tips on how to support green behaviors in your business.

Marie L. Brown is a LEED AP, accredited by the U.S. Green Building Council, with demonstrated knowledge of green building and design principles.  Several years ago she decided to shift her career from the legal consulting world to sustainable design and consulting. Marie started her design company Eco-Chic Design in 2007 and has been spreading the green gospel ever since.  In addition to design consulting Marie creates one-of-a-kind eco-friendly accessories using vintage or upcycled materials.  Her company Eco-Chic Design has been a certified Sacramento Sustainable Business since November of 2007.

Shobha Mallarapu is the President and CEO of Anvaya Solutions, Inc., an IT consulting firm based in Folsom, CA. Anvaya Solutions helps businesses, organizations, government agencies and attorneys with their Information Technology and IT Security needs to effectively protect them from outside and inside cyber and computer threats. In addition to providing staff augmentation and IT consulting, Anvaya Solutions achieves IT security goals by reviewing or developing security policies, training employees on security awareness, performing security assessments, digital forensics, and disk imaging services through their highly qualified and CISSP certified consultants.
