Anne Staines is the President of ProProse LLC, a social marketing agency based in Sacramento, CA. She has more than 25 years of marketing and advertising experience for clients of all sizes. Anne started ProProse in 2004 in order to focus on creating social marketing campaigns for public agencies and non-profits. The firm’s campaigns change social norms by inspiring behavior change and create measurable outcomes.

Some of the firm’s notable campaigns include First 5 Placer, “Report Drunk Drivers – Call 911”; wildfire awareness for CAL FIRE, “Slow for the Cone Zone” for Caltrans; “Go Solar California” partnerships for the California Energy Commission; Impact Teen Drivers’ distracted teen driving campaign; and the “Fix I-5” campaign that diverted 40% of traffic from the highway system when Interstate 5 was closed for 7 weeks in downtown Sacramento.

Anne is a recognized leader in creating public-private partnerships. She and her team have created more than $38 million in partnership value for their campaigns in the past five years. She is also a frequent speaker on the topic of social marketing.
